I am Thore,
a curious person who loves nature. Family and friends are important to me and we like to get together to cook. And now I'm bringing you to the stove and the dining table.
I am a trained banker, passionate cyclist and vegan chef from Berlin. I gave up my banking career in 2016 to find myself in a Buddhist monastery and while traveling, and to rediscover my passion for cooking. I then changed my lifestyle. Since then, I have rediscovered the world and got to know it in a completely different way, and I carry this knowledge into my cooking experiences.
I started experimenting in the kitchen as a child: I still remember my first home-cooked spaghetti very well: in cold water, over-salted - not really good. I was 5 years old and proud as punch. My parents certainly remember it too - they bravely ate my "first dinner" back then! This probably laid the foundation for my love of cooking and what I do today. Just to clarify: I cook better today!
I want to inspire people to break new ground and connect them with each other, with nature and our resources through the senses - for a healthier and more sustainable life. Because I believe that everyone can have a lasting impact on our planet by making small changes to the way we consume.
